OVERVIEW

Scratch helps manage and take control of your loan payments. Fit your loans into your life, not the other way around.

Alongside my design family over at Simple as milk I was given the wonderful oppertunity to work on the entire brand illustration style, iconography and marketing material.

EXPLORATION

Although Scratch had an existing brand, they were looking to completely start this process from the ground up to bring something completely new to the company. Here are a few explorations I worked on.

CHOSEN STYLE

At this stage I let Glen Noble of Simple as Milk take over the logo design and I focused all of my time on the illustration style, colour palette and visual direction. This was the final style that Scratch zoned in on.

PROCESS

My process for creating the Scratch illustrations has evolved over time which I find is often the case with heavily illustrated projects. I use a hand drawn style within illustrator, sometimes using my iPad to connect as a tablet, allowing me to create really natural lines directly into a vector format.

BUILD

The illustration style has recently been used across the web and print, in marketing campaigns and on swag. Here are a few more examples of the work I’ve created.
